Work Day at Mesker Next Thursday, June 16.
Instead of having bag tags next Thursday, we would like everyone to come out for a work day to prepare the course for the Evansville Open.
Please bring rakes, wheelbarrows, chain saws, weed eaters, trash bags, etc. We will be doing a lot of clearing on hole 8 to prevent lost discs and slow play, in addition to trimming and mulching the rest of the course.
IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO WEAR LONG PANTS AND BRING BUG SPRAY!!!!

Don't forget about the work day this Thursday. Show up any time with tools or just a helping hand. Here are some jobs that need to be accomplished:
Mulching around tee pads and baskets (need wheelbarrows, trucks, shovels, rakes, pitchforks, etc.)
Weed eating the overgrowth on hole 8 (weed eaters, long pants, safety glasses)
Weed eating around other holes - trimming around the fairways
Picking up trash on the course (trash bags)
Cutting up downed trees on 10 and 6 (chainsaws!!! If you're talented enough try to make some sittin' stumps please do)
Pruners and trimming tools would be nice if there are any low overhanging branches that need to be trimmed.
No time set for start just sometime in the afternoon. I think most people can make it by 4:30 or 5pm.

I will have money for league payout at the work day today, so if you played league and you want your money come down and get it. Also, try to do a little work while you're there.

Thank you to all the Ace Eagles who came out for the work day! We got a lot accomplished & the course is looking great. The city should be taking care of tree on 10 next week, but if you missed it there is still plenty to be done. Thanks again for all your hard work tonight!
