Ace Eagle Club Picnic July 21st

Post  parbuster54 on Tue Jun 12, 2012 8:04 pm

We have reserved the East shelter across from the par three golf course in Wesselmans Park. We want to invite all members and their families. We will set up a temp 9 hole ace race course in the trees just east of the shelter. Corn hole, washers, horse shoes and a water balloon toss will be some of the activities available.

We will provide a meat tray. Everybody please bring a side item and your drinks. It will be hot. Either 9 am - 2 or 4 pm - 9. We have the shelter all day. What times do you guys think is best? I will post the times the week of July 9.

Anyone interested in playing/trying out Ultimate? There is a field next to the tennis courts, right across the road. We could play a short game to 5 or something.

My vote is for the P.M. hours, I hate alarm clocks.

We are still on for the picnic on July 21. We will get together from 4-9 PM. We would like to know how many are coming so give us a call. Please bring your family, side dish, and drinks. If you would like to coordinate what to bring call Sherry at 491-1694. Let's pray for good weather.

Picnic.

Post  parbuster54 on Fri Jul 13, 2012 11:37 am

We are going to need 4 more baskets for the 9 hole ace race course. Who else can bring baskets? Also, I have one set of corn hole boards. Does anyone have another they could bring?

Jack/Sherry,
Thank you for hosting the picnic. It was a really fun time. The food was good and the ace race was exciting!

Sincerely,
Job

Picnic

Post  parbuster54 on Wed Jul 25, 2012 6:54 pm

Sherry and I would like to thank everybody that came out Saturday. We had a great time. We had 26 people take part in a fun ace race course. Nathan jumped out to an early lead on the 1st round and held us off to take 1st place with 8 points. Charlie and Zac made a run at him on the 2nd round but fell short with 6 points. I had 5. Rick M. and Sherry tied with 4 to take the top 6 spots. Congrats to our winners.
On a personal interest note, Zac's wife canned an ace on the 1st round (much to Zac's humiliation) and he barely got by her on the second round. He was sweating the last round not knowing if he caught her or not. Way to go Jess.
